Specialist music lessons will continue to be offered at St Pius X School next year.
Please complete and submit the enrolment form by Wednesday, 11th December, to enable efficient planning for 2025. Forms received after this date will be processed after all other students are placed, but acceptance will not be guaranteed. Once class allocation is exhausted children will be placed onto a waitlist where you will be nofitied of any vacancy. If allocation with your preferred tutor is exhausted, please note that we may place you with another tutor instead. There is flexibility to change this at the end of the semester if needed.
You will be notified of timetables in Week 1 of Term 1 next year, once all students have been allocated tutors and times.
Lessons will be 30 minutes and cost $34.00 which is payable on a Term’s basis, as arranged directly with the tutor providing the service.
Paired lessons can be organised if numbers permit (excluding drums) - $23.00 per student for 2 students.
A levy of $25.00 per instrument is payable in January 2025 via Qkr! this is to cover costs associated with the Instrumental Program administation, Progress Reports and Concert.
Enrolment Policy Terms
This policy is required to ensure that the school can continue to employ and retain skilled teachers.
Parent Responsibility
Parents must advise the music tutor in writing if children will miss lessons due to excursions, camps, medical appointments, family holidays etc (1 week minimum) early notice will give teachers the opportunity to re-schedule lessons. If children miss lessons due to a non-notified absence (ie., illness or class excursion) from school lessons are not required to be made up by the tutor and the lesson fee may be charged.
Notice must be given by the end of Week 7 of term 1,2 or 3 if a child will not be continuing the following term. Fees will be payable for non-notification.
Tuition fee is payable directly to the tutor within the payment period specified in the tutor's invoice. Tutors reserve the right to suspend lessons due to late payment or non-payment. Suspended lessons will not be replaced and your slot may be released to another student on the waiting list.
Tutor Responsibility
If tutors are ill/absent they are responsible for making up the lesson or crediting to next term. If this happens, they will inform you in writing before 9am of the lesson day.
