From the School Board - Tessa Carey
On Monday 18th March the school held the AGM and we provided families with the opportunity to present the Board ‘questions with prior notice’, however, none were received. We then held the Week 8 School Board Meeting and elected Office Bearer positions for 2019 - Anthony Pryzibilla was elected as Chairperson with Adrian Caperna as the Deputy Chairperson. Building Update- the school is close to putting in the submission to the Port Adelaide/Enfield Council for all 3 stages of work. Along with the nature play space, building work is expected to commence in the second half of the year. We very much look forward to this work commencing and will provide you with further updates as they happen.
Projects and Programmes- the school is very fortunate to have a large number of programmes on the go at the moment, working under the following themes: Quality learning and wellbeing, Catholic Identity and General capabilities. Our projects include: Primary Maths Challenge, Tournament of Minds, STEM, Be You – KidsMatter, ICT Change Makers, Ecological Sustainability, MiniLit, MacLit and InitiaLit (the Early Intervention Literacy Programmes) and SHIP (Gifted and Talented).
Traffic Safety- we would like to remind all families to practice safe driving around the school, in particular the pedestrian crossing (which is NOT a drop-off zone), and the kiss’n’drop areas and thank you for your co-operation.
