Building Project Update
We are very excited that Stage 1 will commence next week with the development of our new car park on Hillburn Avenue.
We do anticipate some disruption to traffic flow around the school next term. Staff and trades people will be parking their vehicles on the street. Where possible contractors will utilize the vacant block behind the green shed, but this will not accommodate everyone. We anticipate this continuing for most of Term 4.
We suggest that you arrive to school earlier in the morning to accommodate these changes. In the afternoons if your child is not waiting for you at kiss’n’drop you will be asked to move on. Teachers dismiss students at 3.00pm. If you arrive at the school between 3.10 – 3.25pm I feel confident we will be able to keep traffic flowing through the kiss’n’drop. Parents who arrive prior to 3.00pm and park their cars in the kiss’n’drop hinder the flow of traffic.
We ask again that you check parking signs and avoid dropping children in places that are not safe (yellow solid lines).
We apologise for the inconvenience the building process will cause and ask parents to plan their day allowing additional time in the morning to support a safe drop off and, in the afternoon, come a little later, ensuring your child has time to get to your agreed pick up location.
When we are advised of deliveries or services that may place additional strains on accessing the school, we will alert you via the SZApp.
We thank you for your cooperation during this busy and exciting time.
