From the APRIM - James Lloyd

Today we commemorated Remembrance Day with a whole school prayer service. At 11 o’clock on the 11th of November each year, we stop whatever we are doing and spend a minute in silence. We remember all the men and women who fought in wars to protect our country. Red poppies are symbolic of Remembrance Day. These beautiful flowers appeared in the fields amidst the fighting. They remind us of the sacrifice many soldiers made to protect our freedom. Many children wore red poppies today as a sign of remembrance.

Lest we forget.

Earlier this week, I sent home a letter to all families inviting you to contribute to the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Thank you to those families who have already generously responded. The ‘Giving Tree’ for new gifts is on the ground floor in the new building (just outside the music room). Donations of new toys and gifts can be placed under this tree. Donations of food can be taken directly to classrooms and placed in the collection baskets. Thank you for your support of our local Vinnies Conference at this time of year.
