Welcome to Week 5! As we journey closer to Christmas our lives suddenly gain speed and before we know it, Christmas lunch is served!

This is a busy time of year at school too. Yesterday, our Year 6/7 classes participated in a Reflection Day at Saint Pius X Church. It was a wonderful way for our senior students to reflect on their journey at primary school and continue their preparations for their next step to high school. I thank all the staff involved in making this day such a success.

Last week, you would have received as letter from me regarding our Christmas Carols Sing-a-long on Tuesday December 4^th. This will be a beautiful way of celebrating the birth of Jesus and I invite you to attend if you are able. Mrs Jedrzejczak will be distributing a note to choir members to ascertain their availability. If your child receives this note, please return it to Mrs Jedrzejczak as soon as possible.

The Vinnies Christmas Appeal commences here at Saint Pius X next week. You will receive a letter from me shortly with more details about how our school community can support those less fortunate at this time of the year. In summary, we will be collecting non-perishable food items for Christmas Hampers, and new toys which will be distributed to families through our local Vinnies conference.
