Parent and Community Involvement
As we educate our children, our school depends on a strong relationship between parents and staff.
Parent/Community involvement helps the school and the children love to see their parents and grandparents involved in their class and their school.
There are a number of opportunities for parents/caregivers and grandparents to be involved in St Pius X school and we warmly invite you to participate by volunteering to:
- Listening to reading and other learning opportunities
- Attending class excursions and/or camps
- Covering library books
- Assisting with our intra and inter-school sports activities and competitions
- Helping with the Learning Assistance Program
- Assisting in the Canteen
- Helping in your child’s classroom
To get involved in your child’s school, please speak with your classroom teacher. They’ll be excited to talk to you.
Please note that only parents/caregivers who have successfully completed the Catholic Education SA screening processes, which includes a Working with Children Check and a Certificate of Participation in Responding to Abuse and Neglect, Education and Care are able to assist with school related activities. Compliance with the Government Mandate regarding COVID-19 vaccination status is also required. These structures are stricly enforced. Information regarding becoming a Registered Volunteer is available from the school office.
