Our local Vinnies Conference is beginning their annual Winter Appeal. Here at Saint Pius X School, we have supported the Vinnies Winter Appeal for many years. Our local Vinnies conference is always grateful for our generous support.
Every week, Vinnies volunteers visit families in our area and assist them with food hampers, shopping vouchers and other financial support.
If you are in a position to donate some non- perishable food items for Vinnies to distribute to those in need in our community, please send these along to school by Thursday 24th June in a plastic shopping bag.
If you would prefer to donate a voucher for Vinnies to purchase necessary items from a supermarket, these can also be sent to school in a sealed envelope.
Of course, we understand if current circumstances prevent you from donating at this time.
Donations can be sent to your child’s classroom, and we will arrange for these to be collected from there.
Suggested food donations are:
- Canned food (Soup, baked beans, spaghetti)
- Long life milk
- Pasta and pasta sauce
- Breakfast cereals
- Rice

If you have a child born between 1st November 2017 and 31st October 2018 and you would like them to attend Reception at St Pius X School in 2023 please submit an Application for Enrolment as soon as possible.
Application Forms are available from School Reception or contact us on 8266 9400.
Interviews for students commencing Reception in 2023 in either Term 1 or 3 will be offered in August to those families who have submitted and Application for Enrolment form.
The Parents and Friends Committee are seeking donations to help form prizes for the “All at Sea” Quiz Night on June 19th. This is one of our major fund raisers for the year and we are seeking your help to create some amazing prizes to give out on the night.
The attachment is a 'donation guide' for each year level and some examples - we are most grateful for any new and unused items you can provide and are only requesting one item per family.
Donations may be sent to your child's classroom and members of the P&F Committee will collect them next Friday, 18th June, to make up the prize baskets.
