Traffic Hazard - this Thursday and Friday
This Thursday, 7th November, the bitumen on the new carpark will be laid and concrete trucks will be arriving on Friday. Consequently there will be many extra large vehicles on Hillburn Avenue throughout the day.
“Leave a little earlier, park a little further away and walk children in for those who can and remember during moments of frustration that the outcome of whole new learning and play spaces is the goal for our deserved children."
Congratulations to our Primary Maths Challenge Students
Our winning students attended the Presentation Ceremony with the Minister of Education, John Gardner last Friday - we are very proud of them!
This Friday, 8th November, students are invited to come to school in casual clothes - a donation of goods for our Twilight Carols fund-raising would be appreciated.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Students please bring donations for lucky dips
Year 3 and 4 Students please bring donations of lollies
Year 5 and 6 Students please bring donations for Christmas entertaining hampers (food and decorations would be appreciated)
We thank you for your support!
School Board Report - Rose Marie Gerardis
The Board met last Monday evening - this is a summary of the Meeting
Culture in a Cup - We would like to thank the Wellbeing team for organising the Culture in a Cup morning. It was amazing to see all of our families join together to celebrate our school’s many interesting cultures.
PMA Mathematics Challenge - The Board would like to congratulate all the students who entered this years, PMA Mathematics Challenge. We are all so proud of your outstanding achievements! It is fantastic to see the children engaged in a mathematical learning experience, where they can learn to problem solve, work collaboratively and use mathematics to explore their interests. The students who were awarded a Winning Entry celebrated their achievements on Friday 1st November.
Update on Building Plans - The first carpark on Hilburn Avenue will be completed in mid-November, then construction will move on to the front staff car park on Windsor Grove. We kindly encourage families to take precaution when parking and crossing Windsor Grove during morning drop off and afterschool pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.
Traffic Update - We are very happy to point out that the traffic at the kiss and drop appears to be working well; considering all the works continuing on the Hilburn carpark. We continue to encourage you to park in areas that don’t have a yellow line and be sure to check signage.
Twilight Carols - Leadership has outlined that Twilight Carols is a compulsory event replacing the school’s annual Gala Day. The P&F committee has been working towards planning the event and teachers have been working with their students to begin rehearsing for their Carols performance. More information about the Twilight Carol’s night will be released in the coming weeks.
