From the Deputy Principal - Des Henthorn
This Sunday, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe – also known as Christ the King. This solemnity is the last Sunday in the liturgical year, as next Sunday, we begin the season of Advent – the four weeks prior to Christmas.
On Thursday, 28th November, you are invited to attend the ‘Blessing of the Wreaths’ prayer service at 2:15pm in the hall. Classes are asked to bring along an Advent Wreath or Nativity Scene which will be a focus during classroom prayer in the lead up to Christmas.
Our End of Year Mass will be held on Thursday 5th November at 11:30am in the hall. You are invited to attend this special celebration as we farewell staff who are leaving us and our Year Six students who will move to high school in 2020.
This coming Friday evening, we gather to celebrate the coming Christmas season with our Twilight Carols on the oval. Please bring along an unwrapped new gift and/or food for the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Donations can be left under the Giving Tree in the hall on Friday night. Our local Vinnies conference is very appreciative of our generosity to those in need.
