PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR IF USING KISS N DROP!
This is just a reminder that if you are using kiss'n'drop gate you are not allowed to get out of your car. All people entering or exiting the car must do so from the passenger side of the car. There is a second lane on the driver's side of the car (right hand side). If a driver or a child were to exit the righthand side of the car they may be hit by a vehicle that is exiting kiss'n'drop by that second lane. If you are needing to assist your child in and out of your vehicle for whatever reason you will need to park your car and come in and collect your child. The car park located on Hillburn Avenue is available for use. You could park there and come and collect your child from the kiss'nd'rop. That gate is open until 8.45am in the morning and 3.30pm in the afternoon. We apologise for any inconvenience, but these rules are in place for you and your child's safety.
Social Work Student for Semester 1 2020 - Amandeep Kaur
I am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at Flinders University. I will be at this school for Semester 1 engaging in a placement as a Social Work Student.
I am here to learn about children and their individual learning cycle. I will be participating in activities with students whilst supporting school staff and I look forward to engaging with the whole school community and meeting your families.
Social work aims to maximize the development of human potential and the fulfillment of human needs (AASW, 2010). Please come into the school and discuss your valuable views with me.
The Federal Government has updated its advice on coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Restrictions are in place for people who have recently returned to Australia from Iran or mainland China, with the following advice issued to staff and parents about attendance at schools and early childhood facilities.
In the following scenarios you cannot attend school or an early childhood centre:
- If you have left, or transited through Iran on or after 1 March - you must isolate yourself until 14 days after leaving Iran.
- If you have left or transited through mainland China - you must isolate yourself until 14 days after leaving China.
- If you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of novel coronavirus - you must isolate yourself for 14 days after last contact with the confirmed case.
At this stage, the Federal Government advises that travellers from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Italy and Cambodia who have not been to mainland China or Iran are not required to self-isolate unless they are unwell, in which case they should seek medical assistance.
Practising good hygiene
Everyone can protect against infections by practising good hygiene. Encourage all children and staff to:
- wash their hands regularly, particularly after using the toilet and before eating
- avoid spreading infections to others by keeping children home if they are unwell
- cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue

Children with poor oral health are more likely to experience pain, to miss days from school and to perform poorly in the classroom. Untreated tooth decay can lead to problems with speaking, eating and learning. SA Dental Service sees over 80,000 children for dental care each year, but data shows that 57.5% of eligible children in SA are not using the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
There are no out of pocket costs for children covered by the Medicare - Child Dental Benefits Schedule
All children are welcome at SA Dental clinics.
