In Year Two the focus is on Comprehension, Spelling, Grammar and Writing. The students engage in a rotation of comprehension and fluency lessons, spelling lessons, storybook lessons, grammar lessons, writing lessons, reading groups and independent work. Our teachers monitor student progress by regularly completing individual assessments.

Results
Our Year Two students are making wonderful progress in their learning of spelling, grammar, writing and reading comprehension. The data below represents student progress and compares InitiaLit assessments for each child in a Year Two class. The first assessment was completed in the middle of Term 1, the second assessment was completed at the beginning of Term 2.
